She showed me that had sent them that we were a deluxe double room even though I had confirmed TWICE with the online chat AND received several confirmation emails that we were all set with a KING SUITE! There were no other rooms available that night, but the next day they moved our bags to a king suite by the time we arrived back from our outing. Upon check in we were told our room was a standard deluxe double and kindly told that unfortunately by booking through a third party site like hotels, or expedia, they have no ability to see the confirmation or edit anything on the reservation. We arrived late Thursday night from our flight, checking in at 11pm. The front desk employees took care of a HOTELS.COM mess up and fixed it! I booked a KING SUITE through, which is one of the higher level rooms, definitely not cheap. I can't say enough positives about this property and the staff there. So, whether it’s a 4-star stay or luxury 5-star. As an independent group, founded and run by the Fabri family, we’ve always believed that our guests should be treated as friends. The greeter at the door, the bartenders and bar manager made us feel safe when two suspicious men sat around us and said they were with us, the staff recognized they weren't and kicked them out and then stood watch at the elevators! The house keeping staff greeted us each day and asked what we needed from towels to waters. The Starhotels collection of 30 hotels across Italy, London, Paris and New York promise authentic Italian hospitality paired with a chic and contemporary style. Every single employee we met was nice and overly helpful. The rooms were in great conditions, clean, and well kept.
